Northrop Grumman Corporation has an opportunity for a Contract Administrator 3/4 to support the Launch and Missile Defense Systems Division.
This position will be located in Colorado Springs CO.
The successful candidate will possess leadership qualities and be able to provide responsible advice and counsel on a wide range of contractual and business issues under minimal supervision and perform in all matters involving the interpretation and application of company contracting policies and procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for all aspects of a contract portfolio from the business development phase through closeout, delivering customer satisfaction, building customer relationships and timely responses to both external and internal customers.
Prioritizing tasks/proposal activities and working on multiple tasks simultaneously.
Handling ever changing demands through-out the operating unit, ensuring that contractual risks are identified and mitigated with appropriate contract provisions.
Serving as a key business advisor to the program managers on contractual and operational matters.
Planning and executing successful contract negotiations of a complex nature and achieving targeted profit rates as well as favorable terms and conditions on bBasic Qualifications: This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3: Bachelors degree with 6 years in Contract Administration or a related professional experience OR a Master”s degree with 4 years of related professional experience.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4: Bachelors degree with 10 years in Contract Administration or a related professional experience OR a Master”s degree with 8 years of related professional experience.
Additional Basic qualifications for both levels: Knowledge and understanding of pricing principles and FAR/DFARS as well as associated Federal Contracting regulations.
Ability to apply sounds judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation and customer relationships.
Exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications: Active US Secret Clearance.
