Job Summary ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION: Source StrategiesAnalysts collaborate with customers and source providers to developcomprehensive multi-intelligence (multi-INT), multi-sourcestrategies to address intelligence problems.

* Demonstrated experience and ability to integrate METOCdata into various geographic information systems (GIS).

* Advanceknowledge, ability and experience working with METOC data that arecompliant with Open Consortium (OGC) standards.

* Demonstratedexperience and ability to develop and present briefings to meet theneeds of various audiences.

* Demonstrated experience and abilityto translate customer METOC data requests into requirements andthen implement various solutions to meet customer requirements.EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from anaccredited college or university in any field, preferably LiberalArts or the Physical Sciences, or a related field.

OR B.Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester(36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A,plus applied experience in the intelligence field, imageryanalysis, the use of current GIS tools, or a related area thatdemonstrates the ability to successfully perform the dutiesassociated with this work.

As a rule, 30 semester (45 quarter)hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience.Candidates should show that their combination of education andexperience totals 4 years.


Experience: A minimum of 4 yearsof applied experience in the intelligence field, imagery analysis,the use of current GIS tools, or a related area that demonstratesthe ability to successfully perform the duties associated with thiswork.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Near visual acuity of 20/40 or betterwith or without corrective lenses; Far visual acuity of 20/60 orbetter binocular with or without corrective lenses.

Highly DesiredQualifications QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatoryqualifications, experience in the following is desired: *Familiarity and experience applying METOC data sources to solvevarious operational or intelligence problems.

* Demonstratedexperience cultivating various forms of professional workingrelationships to include working in a collaborated environment thatled to the development of a network of peers across organizations.* Graduate degree in Meteorology, Oceanography, Hydrography,Hydrology or Physical Science with at least six years ofsignificant applied experience in Meteorology, or Oceanographyscience disciplines.

* Personal adaptability and flexibility forworking various shifts/changes in crisis situations enabling thesuccessful handling of unforeseen challenges inherent to working ina highly-visible environment.

Additional Job Requirements You mustbe able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance withaccess to Sensitive Compartmented Information.

In addition, you aresubject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order tomaintain access to Top Secret information.

All employees aresubject to a periodic examination on a random basis in order todetermine continued eligibility.

Refusal to take the examinationmay result in denial of access to Top Secret information, SAP,and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.

Employees with SCI access andwho are under NGA cognizance are required to submit a SecurityFinancial Disclosure Report, SF-714, on an annual basis in order todetermine continued eligibility.

Failure to comply may negativelyimpact continued access to Top Secret information, InformationSystems, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.
