Job Description : The Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) team has a Network Engineer opportunity available to support platform baseline development activities on the GPS Program.
This position will perform network-engineering tasks pertaining to detail design development and creating engineering design artifacts.
Tasks include designing implementing switch, firewall, and router configurations, and owning the interface control document (ICD) for networking.
Team member should possess knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations, and associated security practices.

Current Clearance â?¢ Network Certification â??
CCNA â?¢ 6 years of relevant experience closely related to network engineering design â?¢ In-depth understanding of network technologies and associated services, management, and security practices/techniques â?¢ Demonstrated communicator with Key team members, Peers and Subordinates â?¢ Familiarity and ability to read, understand, and implement configurations of: â?¢ Cisco ASA firewall experience with Contexts, filters, SSL VPN â?¢ Cisco ISR Router experience with GRE and IP Sec tunnels as well as ACLs, OSPF, NATs, HSRP â?¢ Cisco LAN Core and Distribution switches, experience with ACLâ??s, routing, hardening â?¢ Demonstrated Juniper SRX Firewall â?¢ Knowledge/experience with WAN implementations â?¢ Cognizant of network topologies as well as understand necessary configuration details â?¢ Familiar with TCP, and secure protocols â?¢ Experience with Data Center LAN design, Implementation, diagnostics, performance and administration â?¢ Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally Desired Skills: â?¢ Knowledge/experience with SAN implementations (iSCSI, Fiber Channel) â?¢ Knowledge/experience with VMware implementations â?¢ Knowledge/experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Center for Internet Security (CIS) Benchmarks â?¢ Advanced Network Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE â?¢ Experience with Configuration Management Required Education (including Major): Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related STEM degree program from an Accredited University/School/College and 6 years of related work experience; with emphasis in network design and architecture.
