Team Lead – COVID19 Relief

Jefferson Center for Mental Health

This is a Contract position in Wheat Ridge, CO posted July 1, 2020.

Overview Serves as Team Leader for crisis counselors, senior and child specialists, and hotline staff.

Trains, debriefs and provides supervision for crisis counselors.

Provides coordination and oversight of crisis counselor’s plans of service.

Ensures staff are operating within the requirements and bounds of the CCP.

Provides guidance and assists with problem-solving when issues arise.

Monitors staff performance and develops plans for improvement when needed.

This is a temporary position, 9 to 11 months Responsibilities Essential Duties: Serves as Team Leader for staff directly involved in providing counseling services Provides regular individual and team supervision.

Identifies opportunities for team improvement.

Addresses any performance issues.

Provides debriefing and schedules Team Days Is familiar with FEMA requirements for the program, and provides guidance to ensure staff are performing in accordance with these guidelines.

Meets regularly with Project Manager for supervision and reports successes, challenges and changes Provides clinical guidance and direction with high risk clinical issues.

Builds working relationships with Jefferson Center Clinical Directors to increase understanding of the CCP and to facilitate referrals for mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

Attends meetings as assigned by Project Manager.

Schedules regular team meetings.

Other Duties: Maintains an acceptable attendance record.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment Ability to operate a personal computer.

Ability to attend meetings at a variety of locations.

Qualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required: Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology or related field plus 2 years of related experience and/or training.

Licensure preferred.

May consider relevant pre-master’s degree experience.

Must have valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record while employed at Jefferson Center.

Meets the requirements of applicable federal, state and organizational background checks.
